Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C. welcomes for the first time to its attraction global pop sensation Katy Perry who is immortalized in wax and will join legendary cultural icons including Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt. The unveiling of the figure will take place at Madame Tussauds Washington, DC (1001 F Street, NW, corner of 10th & F Streets) on Tuesday, June 24 at 11:00 AM with the help of DC’s number one hit music radio station HOT 99.5.
Jay Thomas, “Intern John,” from 99.5’s The Kane Show and one lucky contest winner will be among the first to see Katy’s brand new figure and will be on-site to present her to the many adoring fans who will catch an up-close glimpse of the singer before they head over to Katy’s sold-out show at the Verizon Center.

Katy Perry worked closely with a team of Madame Tussauds artists who dedicated themselves to creating her wax figure and replicating her unique look and style. Katy’s figure is modeled after one of her most eye-catching red carpet outfits and fans in attendance will get their chance to pose for photos alongside the singer.
