Among the abundance of fetching finds at Museum Shop Around are commemorative holiday ornaments; hostess gifts; hand-painted ties and recycled velvet patchwork scarves; modern home accents such as Adam the Doodles Man from Museum of Modern Art and the sharply-designed neon-colored James the Bookend; handmade felted soaps and other unique finds. Funky and functional kitchen items abound, such as richly-marbled serving slabs cut from abundant fieldstones harvested from New England farms; quirky music-themed kitchen tools such microphone tongs, drumstick chopsticks and a turntable kitchen timer; as well as serving bowls made from recycled vinyl records and record adapter drink markers. Bejeweled baubles and adornments include one-of-a-kind upcycled copper cuffs with rich blue patina, necklaces fashioned from piano wire and accented with pearls, natured-inspired rings, pins and pendants with unique gemstone accents, and necklaces that incorporate heirloom broken china from Strathmore’s famous tea services. Families will find plush stuffed animals and wacky puppets, fun family games and mind-bending brain teasers, at-home craft project kits and vintage-inspired toys.
