The recent record-breaking PBS-TV music specials, “50 Years of Doo-Wop,” were so well received that it created a new showcase and new audiences for veteran Doo-Wop artists. Now these original artists are back on the road performing live, treating concertgoers to the songs they danced to at sock hops, while allowing younger audiences to discover that Doo-Wop is feel-good music no matter what your age. This music is like a first love that no one ever forgets.

An impressive list of those original artists who will be part of The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show are: from the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, Charlie Thomas’ Drifters (On Broadway, There Goes my Baby, Up on the Roof, This Magic Moment, Dance with Me, Save the Last Dance for Me), Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners (Since I Don’t Have You, Pennies from Heaven, This I Swear), The Vogues featuring Bill Burkette & Hugh Geyer (You’re the One, Five O’Clock World, My Special Angel), Barbara Harris, original lead singer of The Toys (Lover’s Concerto, Attack), The Marcels (Blue Moon, Heartaches, Summertime), The Cookies (Chains, Don’t Say Nothin’ Bad about My Baby, Will Power), The Blue Suede Orchestra (Buzz, Buzz, Buzz.)
