Visit the National Museum of Crime & Punishment for free, September 28th |
Living in the nation's capital has more than its fair share of advantages: First and foremost, DC has a plethora of monuments and museums to visit for free. Still, not everything is free; and thrifty museum lovers must keep an eye out for bargain admissions year-round. One such bargain is Smithsonian magazine's annual Museum Day Live! which returns on Saturday, September 28th for another day of free admission to some of the country's best museums.
As in years past, you must reserve a ticket (good for you and a guest) online (click here) to gain free admission. Unfortunately, the Newseum (one of my favorites) isn't participating this year; but you can still secure passes to see the Kreeger Museum ($10,) National Museum of Crime & Punishment ($21.95,) The Phillips Collection ($12) and many others for free.
