Verizon Center Gets Ready for WWE Supershow, This Sunday

Rematch: Randy Orton Jr. vs. Daniel Bryan (r)

Despite the temporary loss of perhaps its' most popular wrestler (John Cena) to injury, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) returns to the nation's capital this Sunday for a 5:00 PM (5:00? What the?) Supershow at Verizon Center. Up for grabs, both the WWE and Intercontinental championships, as well as DC's first look at the Wyatt Family.

Sunday's main event will pit Randy Orton Jr. vs. Daniel Bryan for Orton's WWE championship. In the co-main event, champion Curtis Axel (with Paul Heyman) will face off against CM Punk in a no-disqualification match for the Intercontinental title. Also scheduled to appear, Rob Van Dam, The Big Show, Mark Henry, The Shield, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Christian and more. As always, announced wrestlers are subject to change.

Tickets are still available (but going fast) ranging from $20 up to $95, available at the Verizon Center box office or online at Ticketmaster. Doors open at 4:00 PM on Sunday. Taking Metro? Plan ahead: Brookland-CUA, Silver Spring & Takoma stations on the Red Line will be closed for repairs. Free shuttle buses will be available, but expect long delays.
