Union Market Hosts Israel@65 Festival This Sunday

Mosh Ben Ari headlines Sunday's Israel@65 Festival

You're invited to celebrate Israel turning 65 (this year marks the 65th anniversary of Israel's Yom Ha'atzmaut - Independence Day) at Union Market this Sunday with Israel@65: A Food, Wine & Music Festival. Admission is free and will take place rain or shine (50/50 as of today... I'm betting on sunshine.) The fun starts at 12 and include a full day of music, Israeli artisans, kids activities and food, food and... food.

The festival is presented by the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and is accessible by Metro (Red Line: NoMa-Gallaudet.) Free parking is also available. I'm especially looking forward to the Israeli Beer and Wine Garden, in addition to a delicious sounding assortment of authentic Israeli cuisine.

Speaking of food, The Jewish Food Experience presents A Tent Full of Flavors, featuring cooking demos, tastings (yum!) and book signings (see below for full details.) Ben Yehuda Pizza, Eli'sKosherMart and Moti's Grill will also be on hand, together with several vegetarian options including half a dozen vegetarian-only food trucks.
