From our friends at Georgetown University Football...

The Georgetown University football team has announced its 11-game schedule for the 2013 season that will kick-off when the Hoyas travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to take on Wagner on Saturday, August 31. The Hoyas schedule features six home games at Multi-Sport Field with the home-opener on September 7 against Davidson.

The Hoyas open the season on the road for the second consecutive season against the Seahawks, who won the Northeastern Conference to earn a spot in the FCS Championship tournament last season. GU defeated Wagner, 13-10 last season.

Georgetown returns home to Multi-Sport Field for a pair of games hosting Davidson on Saturday, September 7. The following week, GU hosts Marist for the first time since 2011 on Saturday, September 14.

The Blue & Gray will play a pair of Ivy League schools, first traveling to Providence, R.I. for a rematch with Brown University on September 21. The meeting will be the fourth meeting between the two programs. Georgetown hosts Princeton the following week on Saturday, September 28 for Homecoming Weekend on the Hilltop. The game will be a rematch from the 2012 matchup that saw the Hoyas edge the Tigers 21-20 in dramatic fashion in front of a national audience on ESPNU.

After a bye week, Georgetown moves into its Patriot League schedule, hosting Fordham on Saturday, October 12 during Family Weekend. The game will be the first of three PL games to be played at home. GU will also host Colgate (October 26) and Lafayette (November 2) on campus at Georgetown.

The Hoyas first Patriot League road game will be in Bethlehem, Pa., when they take on Lehigh University on October 19. The last time GU played at Lehigh's Goodman Stadium it was for the 2011 Patriot League Championship. Georgetown will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell (November 16), following a bye week and conclude its season in Worcester, Mass. when they meet Holy Cross on November 23.
