The George Washington gymnastics team opens its 2013 season on Sunday, as it hosts the sixth annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational at Charles E. Smith Center. The Invitational, named after former GW gymnast Lindsey Ferris ('01) gets underway at 1:00 PM.
The Colonials, led by seniors Kayla Carto, Neferiti Roy and Stephanie Stoicovy will battle Cornell, North Carolina, Penn and Temple in the prestigious event. North Carolina edged GW for first place at last year's Invitational.
Sunday marks the first of only four opportunities to see the Colonials at home. GW returns to Smith Center on Monday, February 11 to host EAGL rival North Carolina (for the third time) and William & Mary. That match gets underway 1t 7:00 PM (click here to purchase tickets.)
