Wizards Acquire Draft Rights to Felix Okpara in Second Round of 2026 NBA Draft

The Washington Wizards have acquired the draft rights to forward Felix Okpara (ock-PAR-uh), the 46th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, from the Orlando Magic

Okpara, a 6-11, 243-pound forward from Lagos, Nigeria, spent the 2025-26 season at the University of Tennessee. He appeared in 35 games (34 starts) and averaged 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting .597 from the field and .364 from three-point range.

The 22-year-old topped double-figure scoring 10 times and scored 20 points twice, doing so against Rice on Nov. 17 and at South Carolina on March 3. He grabbed double-figure rebounds five times.

The 2025-26 SEC All-Defensive Team member ranked sixth in the conference in total blocks (52) and became one of four players in Tennessee history to notch two 50-block seasons (2024-26). He is one of only two players in the SEC to record at least 1.5 blocks per game in both the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons, and leaves Tennessee second all-time on the program’s blocks per game leaderboard (1.6).
