I realize that
@WokNRollDC is probably best known for karaoke, but I'll take good food over (bad) music any day of the week. Based on my delivery order of General Tso's Chicken ($22.95) Egg Drop Soup ($6.75) and Vegetarian Spring Roll trio ($6.95) they can afford to give their microphones a night (or two) off. The spring rolls are extra large, crazy crispy (even after 30 minutes) and full of tasty fillings.
B+ Their egg drop soup, on the other hand was conspicuously
bland. I didn't see or taste ginger, green onions or even soy sauce. It was just egg and broth, and I barely finished half of it.
D However, this dinner was all about the entree, and Wok & Roll
rocked it for sure. If you're hungry,
really hungry, this is what you order. You get a ton of chicken, and each piece is to-die-for. Moist inside, crunchy outside, and just the right amount of savory, spicy, sweet sauce to make you pang for more. That said, there's more than enough for me and a competitive eater to
share. Great rice too (again, even after half an hour.)
AGrade: B+ (Scratch the soup (or swap it for hot & sour or wonton) and we're talking home runs. As is, a bases-clearing triple.
