Are 2 Coen brothers better than 1? After watching @HoneyDontFilm, our answer is yes. Ethan Coen’s crime drama has its moments (mostly centered on/around rising star Margaret Qualley) but ultimately it’s too disjointed, seedy and ugly to enjoy. Qualley’s a joy to watch, but seems better/bigger than her part. And then there’s the (unnecessary) emphasis on her character’s sexuality, which never seems to go anywhere (besides down under.) Most of the film seems to lack a “direction,” which makes it less fulfilling than it could have been.
