IMDb Plot: An engaged interfaith couple are about to have their parents meet for the first time over a Shabbat dinner when an accidental death gets in the way. Directed by Daniel Robbins.
You have to love a movie that features a rabbi joke and a dead body crashing onto a sidewalk in the first minute. Bad Shabbos is a fast-paced dark comedy that explores “the things we do for family,” when an interfaith couple’s parents meet for the first time (over Shabbat dinner.) As you can imagine, mayhem ensues, and we’re all the better for it. @methodman steals the show, and the total runtime is under 90 minutes. Works for me!
