Benicio del Toro carries the load in Wes Anderson’s @phoenicianmovie, an early-on comedic gem that slowly loses its sparkle with each passing (over-clever) thought ðŸ’. Mia Threapleton (and her secular Rosary) provides ample & charming cover as del Toro’s daughter-nun, and the laughs flow mightily until they don’t. That said, I laughed enough to cover the difference.
