Women's Basketball: New York Tech 74 UDC 38

UDC Women’s Basketball Fall to New York Tech in Conference Match-Up

The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team fell to New York Tech 74-38 on Saturday afternoon at the UDC Gymnasium. The Firebirds fall to 3-8 overall and 0-3 in conference, while the Bears improve to 6-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Junior forward Mia Boyd led the Firebirds with nine points going 4-10 from the field. Latavia Jackson and Maya Thomas each contributed seven points and freshman forward Kayla Moore put up a season high six points.
Frosh Latavia Jackson (#3) added 7 points & 3 steals

Ketsia Athias and Shalie Frierson led the Bears with 14 points apiece. NYT was able to shoot at 57.8% from the field while holding UDC to just 28.9%.

Junior Maya Thomas led UDC with 5 steals

The Firebirds will end out the year with a trip to Massachusetts to face off against Assumption College on Saturday December 21st at 1:30 PM.

Freshman Kayla Moore scored 6 points off the bench
