2941 Restaurant Announces New Monthly Tasting Series This January

2941 Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Falls Church, Virginia at 2941 Fairview Park Drive, is pleased to unveil a new monthly tasting series. Led by Bar Director Nikki Drake, tastings will be held from 6-7:00 PM in the restaurant’s full-service bar on the last Friday of each month. Beverage classes are priced from $25 to $35 per person (all inclusive), which includes half-ounce tasting pours of featured spirits, three-ounce pours of featured wine and five-ounce pours of featured beer along with passed hors d’oeuvres and keepsake recipe cards/tasting notes. Bourbon vs. Rye on Friday, January 31, from 6 PM to 7 PM. 2941 Restaurant’s Bar Director Nikki Drake will spotlight the differences between bourbon and rye whiskey. Guests will enjoy tasting pours of Woodford Reserve’s bourbon and rye whiskey along with two Manhattan tasting cocktails spotlighting both spirits. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and are priced at $25 per person (all inclusive.)


Old World vs. New World: Napa & Bordeaux on Friday, February 28, from 6 PM to 7 PM. Wine lovers will swirl, sniff, sip, and savor wines from two of the world’s leading regions: Bordeaux and Napa. U.S. Brand Director for Domaine Chevalier & Château Guiraud, Patricia Alazaraki, and Margot Moinard, brand manager for Domaine Chevalier & Château Guiraud, along with National American Portfolio Director at Monsieur Touton Gary Grunner, will guide guests on appreciating the difference between both wines.  Attendees will enjoy a total of six featured wines: one white, one red and one sweet wine from Napa Valley and Bordeaux.  Wines to be poured include Hourglass, “Estate,” Sauvignon Blanc, Calistoga, Napa Valley 2018; Chateau Guiraud, “G”, Bordeaux, France 2016; 2941 Reserve Cabernet, Napa Valley 2017; Domaine de Chevalier, Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, France and Château Guiraud, Sauternes 1er Cru 2016. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and are priced at $35 per person (all inclusive.)

Virginia Breweries on Friday, March 27, from 6 PM to 7 PM. Representatives from Lost Rhino Brewing Company of Ashburn, Virginia, will be on-hand to pour five featured beers from their fall list: Face Plant IPA; Rhino Chaser Pilsner; New River Pale Ale; Final Glide Hefeweizen along with a seasonal beer. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and are priced at $25 per person (all inclusive.)

Highland Scotch on Friday, April 24, from 6 PM to 7 PM. A representative from Macallan will be on-site to explore the flavor profiles of single malt whiskey. Founded in 1824, Macallan was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then they have built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland - and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship. Guests can anticipate tasting pours of the Macallan 12-year; Macallan 15-year Triple Cask; Macallan 18-year and Macallan Rare Cask. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and are priced at $25 per person (all inclusive.)
