Throughout the month of August, enjoy $10 rum flights and additional rum specials on August 16. Additionally, a portion of the sales from each Don Q cocktail sold during the month of August will benefit CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees), a national 501(c)3 charity whose mission is to grant support to children of food and beverage service families navigating life-altering circumstances
August 16 is officially National Rum Day and Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is celebrating with a variety of specials. At Cuba Libre, rum is the celebrated spirit and National Rum Day provides the perfect opportunity to showcase its versatility and flavor. Throughout the month of August, guests will be able to enjoy two pre-selected rum flights at a discounted price of $10 each. Flights of rum include three one-ounce pours. Additionally, on Friday, August 16, guests can partake in Cuba Libre’s extensive collection of rums, featured flights and rum-based libations for half the price. This special offering will be available exclusively at the bar during happy hour. Cuba Libre’s rum list showcases over 90 premium and flavored varieties from Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua and Tortola. Rums are priced between $8 and $84 per shot.
As an added bonus, a portion of the proceeds from each Don Q libation sold during rum month of August will be donated by Don Q to CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees) - with Cuba Libre matching the donation. This is the restaurant’s third fundraiser for this non-profit organization whose mission is to grant support to children of food and beverage service families navigating life-altering circumstances. Barry Gutin, principal and co-founder of GuestCounts Hospitality, LLC, which owns and operates Cuba Libre, serves on the board of directors for CORE so it is a cause close to his heart.

WHEN: $10 rum flights will be available August 1 through August 31, 2019. On Friday, August 16, guests will be able to enjoy Cuba Libre’s extensive collection of rums, rum flights and rum-based mixed drinks at half price, exclusively at the bar during happy hour which is available Sunday through Friday, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
