As summer heats up, the city’s most popular Balkan restaurants are creating refreshing cocktails to quench one’s thirst. Ambar Clarendon, located in the heart of Clarendon at 2901 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA is pleased to introduce succulent seasonal cocktails available in the main dining room or on the 50-seat sidewalk terrace. Each is made with a different seasonal ingredient such as peaches, raspberries, cucumbers and summer herbs. The new cocktails include the light and citrusy Malinada with vodka, simple syrup, raspberries, orange juice and lime juice, garnished with a fresh mint sprig; the Green Gin with gin, St. Germain, cucumber slices, simple syrup and lime juice, garnished with a lemon twist; the Bourbon & Peaches with whiskey, peach purée and lime juice, garnished with a lime wheel and presented tableside in a French press, and the Pineapple Lemonade with rum, apricot rakia, pineapple purée, mint, simple syrup and lime juice. Ambar DC, located at 523 8th Street, SE, is also pleased unveil two new cocktails, created by Mateja Blagojevic, brand mixologist for Ambar’s sister restaurant in Belgrade, Serbia. Arriving to the states is Ambar Belgrade’s most popular aperitif, the Strawberry G&T with strawberry-infused gin (made in-house) and Mediterranean Fever Tree tonic, served tableside and garnished with dehydrated lemon, as well as the sweet & tart Visnja Sour with cherry-infused rakia, lime juice, simply syrup infused with cherries, and a spritz of absinth, garnished with a cherry.
