Deadpool 2 Movie Review

Ryan Reynolds stars in Deadpool 2

Peter's Your Man

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Miami's hottest bartender, while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover. Directed by David Leitch.

Tim Miller's Deadpool was this close to perfect. Leitch's sequel? Not even close. But guess what? It doesn't matter. Ryan Reynolds is back (as are co-writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick) and odds are, you'll be laughing too hard to notice it's not as good as the original. Deadpool 2 gets surprisingly boring and repetitive at times (Josh Brolin's Cable = zzz) but don't despair, Peter (Rob Delaney) and the rest of X-Force arrives to save the day in the year's best/most hilarious scene (trust me, you'll know it when you see it.) A step back, but still a blast.
