From our friends at Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca...
Ashok Bajaj of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group’s Italian gem, Bibiana Osteria Enoteca, located at 1100 New York Avenue, NW, will close temporarily on January 1st, to undergo a stylish makeover. The restaurant will reopen to serve lunch and dinner on Monday, January 8th. Bajaj tapped Harry Gregory, co-founder and director of ara Design International, to create the new décor for Bibiana Osteria Enoteca. ara Design International is a leading architectural interior design practice specializing in the global hospitality sector with offices in London, Abu Dhabi and Bali. Gregory was the original designer when Bibiana opened in September 2009, earning recognition among the country’s 20 best new restaurants from Esquire magazine.
One of the most important changes is the addition of a second private dining room, complete with sliding glass door, which can seat 14 guests. Bibiana’s existing 513-square-foot private dining room, which can seat 48 people, and comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests for a reception, will also be refinished with paint and new wall coverings of Italian columns sourced from Sterling Art of London. A newly commissioned Italian collage depicting classic Italian streetscapes including the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Pantheon can be found in the 12-seat semi-private dining room.
Located in Washington, DC’s hip City Center neighborhood, Bibiana Osteria Enoteca is open for lunch Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday, from 5 PM to 10 PM, and Friday & Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM. The restaurant is located close to Metro Center at 1100 New York Avenue, NW, at the corner of 12th and H Streets.
