honeygrow Announces Opening of First Montgomery County Location
From our friends at honeygrow...
Rockville Pike Gets Custom Stir-Fry, Salads and More, All Made With the Highest Quality Ingredients
honeygrow, the beloved fast-casual concept, makes its Rockville Pike debut December 8, 2017. From Philadelphia to New Jersey, New York, and through downtown Washington, DC and Baltimore and westward to Chicago and Pittsburgh, legions of devotees have come to share honeygrow’s commitment to honest food grown locally and an incredible guest experience. Founded in Philadelphia in 2012, CEO Justin Rosenberg and the honeygrow team continually draw inspiration from art, music and local culture to make each location feel, and taste, unique.
“We’re beyond excited to continue our expansion within the Washington, DC Metro market and into Montgomery County. It’s a community that obviously values quality foods, and we’re excited to now be a part of that roster,” said Rosenberg.
honeygrow features premium made-to-order stir-fry, salads, and honeybar, all made from scratch and fully customizable thanks to its proprietary touchscreen kiosk ordering system. honeygrow also offers a trio of freshly-made proprietary cold-pressed juices available daily. Culinary director, Chef David Katz, previously of Philadelphia’s award-winning Mémé and Creekstone Farms, carefully considers each ingredient offered, from sustainably raised meats to sauces and dressings prepared from scratch daily. Produce is always fresh (honeygrow locations do not have any freezers) and sourced as locally and as seasonably as possible.
The fully customizable menu features a range of unique items including plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Guests can choose from signature stir-fry options, like...
• Roast Pork (Fall seasonal stir-fry): freshly made egg white noodles, all-natural roast pork, organic baby spinach, broccoli, red onion, asiago shavings + chili flakes, all with a local brew au jus sauce
• Spicy Garlic: freshly made egg white noodles, roasted FreeBird chicken, bell peppers, broccoli, red onions, pineapple, parsley
• Red Coconut Curry: (vegan and gluten-free) rice noodles, organic roasted spicy tofu, pineapples, jalapeños, bean sprouts, scallions, cilantro
As well as signature salads, including...
• Fall the Things (Fall seasonal salad): maple cider vinaigrette, organic arugula, crispy bacon, roasted yams, red onion, pecans, dried cranberries, local goat cheese
• Walnut St. Noodle: walnut lemon dressing, freshly made whole wheat noodles, organic arugula, mushrooms, raw cauliflower, roasted walnuts, parmesan crisps
• Make it Grain: orange sherry vinaigrette, wheat berries, red quinoa, organic arugula, grapes, roasted carrots, feta, roasted cashews
For something on the lighter (or sweeter side), adults and children can indulge in honeygrow’s signature honeybar, which features fresh fruits, local honey and toppings such as local plain yogurt, dark chocolate chips, coconut shavings and housemade whipped cream. Just in time for the festive season, the holiday honeybar includes local plain yogurt, apples, dried cranberries, ginger snaps, maple syrup, and cinnamon whipped cream.
honeygrow is passionate about the communities it serves and is dedicated to supporting organizations that help nourish and grow them. honeygrow will offer its first 100 guests complimentary meals (choice of one stir-fry or salad, as well as a fountain drink,) on opening day.
Additionally, the Rockville Pike location will feature artwork by local photographer Ian Jared Bell.
Located at 12055 Rockville Pike at the Montrose Crossing Shopping Center, honeygrow will be open Monday-Saturday from 10:30 AM - 10 PM, and Sundays from 10:30 AM - 9 PM.
