Safeway Goes to Summer Camp with MDA
From our friends at Safeway...
On Sunday, June 25th, Safeway employees presented a Safeway-sponsored make your own sundae ice cream social to approximately 200 campers and family members at this year’s Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) summer camp in Chestertown, Maryland.
Safeway’s Eastern Division has a long tradition of advocacy for the special needs community, and we also have a long history of supporting MDA.
As part of MDA’s mission to improve the lives of kids with muscular dystrophy and related life-threatening diseases, MDA’s summer camp program for kids ages 6-17 is offered at no cost to families. As a major MDA supporter, Safeway Inc., our customers and the Safeway Foundation help kids create lifelong friendships, build self-confidence and develop independence. Their one-of-a-kind camps provide a life-changing experience for all who attend.
