Red, White, and Blue Specialty Cocktail at Jardenea at Melrose Georgetown Hotel

Jardenea's Melrose Red, White, and Blue Martini

The mixologists of Jardenea Lounge at Melrose Georgetown Hotel have created a patriotic cocktail to help celebrate Independence Day this 4th of July.

Carefully crafted, the Red, White, and Blue Martini is a fabulous blend of American Harvest Vodka, Stirrings Triple Sec, Grenadine, lime, and a hint of agave nectar. The Melrose Red, White, and Blue Martini is available this summer.

• 2 oz. American Harvest Vodka
• 1 oz. Stirrings Triple Sec of Gekkeikan Plum Wine
• ½ Tablespoon Grenadine
• 1 Lime
• Orange Wheel
• 1 Maraschino Cherry
• 1 American Flag Party Pick
• Blue Sugar Sprinkles
• Hint of Agave Nectar

Carefully squeeze half a lime into a shaker and drop the lime in. Add vodka, triple sec and grenadine, filling the shaker halfway with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Cut a wedge out of the other half of the lime, then dip the wedge in agave nectar and use it on the rim of a chilled martini glass. Rim the martini glass with blue sugar.

Shaking well, pour the drink into the martini glass and garnish with the American flag party pick, an orange wheel and a cherry.
