Awesome Con has come a long way in five years. Early on, it was guest-heavy (i.e.
William Shatner,
Kevin Smith &
Adam West) with a
dash of cosplay. This year? A few big names (ahem...
Stan Lee!) but the number of guests in costume? Literally, out of this world! Navigating the aisles has gotten more difficult as well... par for the course with record-setting crowds; but the end result is an exciting/unmatched atmosphere that
might just be the most exciting event of the year at the
Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Missed the first two days? Don't despair. Awesome Con continues tomorrow with a full schedule (10 AM - 5 PM) followed by a (sold-out, sorry) After-party at the
Hard Rock Cafe.
