Slate Wine Bar + Bistro Announces Participation in the James Beard Foundation's Blended Burger Project
In an effort to promote healthier and more sustainable burgers, Slate Wine Bar + Bistro is joining the James Beard Foundation’s Blended Burger Project
Slate Wine Bar + Bistro is set to participate in The James Beard Foundation’s (JBF) Blended Burger Project™, a nationwide contest and challenge to make a "blended burger" by blending ground meat with finely chopped mushrooms to create a delicious, healthier, and more sustainable burger.
Chef Danny Lledó will feature the Super Filet Mignon Cheeseburger as a part of the summer menu from May 29 through July 31, 2017. This burger blends Porcini mushrooms and garlic with Superior Black Angus Tenderloin, and is served with chipotle aioli, crispy shallots, tomato, lettuce, and Gruyere cheese on a brioche bun.
