French Newcomer Le DeSales Debuts Lunch Service

Executive Chef Raphael Francois and his culinary team are pleased to announce the debut of lunch service at Le DeSales, the 100-seat restaurant located in the heart of the Golden Triangle at 1725 DeSales Street, NW. Guests can now enjoy Executive Chef Raphael Francois' modern French cuisine crafted from fresh, local ingredients. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Additionally, guests who join Le DeSales for the midday meal can take advantage of the new restaurant’s two-course lunch special. It features a choice of any two courses paired with a glass of wine and is priced at $27 per person (tax and gratuity not included.)

Guests can look forward to tempting appetizers such as Strawberry Salad with lettuce, pecan and parmesan; Tomatoes with anchovy garlic hollandaise and almonds; Foie Gras with mango and romaine; Pâté de Champagne with pistachios and pickles; Arctic Char with kale and apple. Guests can also enjoy entrée options such as Organic Sapphire Salmon with salad and pomegranate; Cod with shallot, cauliflower, forbidden rice and lemon; Dry Aged Beef “Bavette” with pomme pont neuf, romaine and pesto; 8 oz Beef Burger with Cabot clothbound cheddar and “Jambon Cru.” as well as Breaded Chicken with marinated fennel and orange. For a decedent finish, diners can enjoy a selection of desserts and cheeses including Chocolate Tart with espresso ice cream; Crème Brûlée "Classique” with Muscovado sugar; Berries with green tea cake and vanilla ice cream; Frenche-Comté; Italian Parmigiano Reggiano; American Cabot Clothbound Cheddar; French Préféré des Montagnes; and French Roquefort. Prices range from $9 to $19 for appetizers, $16 to $23 for entrées, $8 for desserts and from $5 to $6 for 1.5 oz of cheese.
