Event Will Serve as Fundraiser for GW’s Public Health Program on LGBT Issues
Margaret Cho, the stand-up comedian and actress, will perform at a benefit show for the George Washington University’s LGBT Health Policy & Practice Program.
Ms. Cho’s biting humor, laced with social commentary on gender, sexuality and race, catapulted her into stardom as a stand-up comedian in the 1990s and sold out concert tours like “I’m the One That I Want” and “Notorious C.H.O.” She has also appeared on television and in movies and has released numerous popular books and concert videos.

TICKETS:
Tickets go on sale to the public May 10. Ticket prices range from $55 to $75. VIP tickets are available that include prime orchestra seating and a private meet-and-greet with Ms. Cho after the performance. Tickets are available to the public and can be purchased here.
BACKGROUND:
In 2013, the George Washington University established the LGBT Health Policy & Practice Certificate Program. The yearlong graduate-level program in LGBT health offers in-depth training leading to competencies for those who seek to better serve and advocate for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Proceeds from the performance will support program activities, curriculum development and student scholarships.
