Comedic Duo Is Taping an Episode of Their Podcast "The Tony Perkins Show Featuring Gary Stein" Before a Live Audience
The comedic duo of Tony Perkins and Gary Stein are treating listeners to a live recording of their popular podcast on Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 PM at the DC Improv. Tony and Gary will be joined onstage by special guests, comedian Rob Maher and TV personality and blogger Sarah Fraser. This is the comedy team’s third appearance at the DC Improv. Their two previous shows were sell-outs.
“We absolutely love taping live shows at the DC Improv,” said Perkins. “The energy from the audience is always amazing. With guests like Rob and Sarah, virtually anything can happen, so the audience is in for a real treat.”
Each episode of “The Tony Perkins Show Featuring Gary Stein” includes comic commentary, interviews, music, laughs, and most notably, an amazing chemistry between two guys who can and regularly do finish each other’s sentences.
The show is a cross between a radio and television show, featuring popular celebrities and guests. Guests have included Ringo Starr, Berry Gordy, Jr., Sugar Ray Leonard, legendary talk show host Dick Cavett, “Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron, Academy Award nominee Danny Aiello, former Monkee Micky Dolenz, former “GMA” host Charlie Gibson, and comedians like George Wallace, Louie Anderson, Jackie Martling, Godfrey and Joe Piscopo. Perkins and Stein take tremendous pride in the fact that most guests tell them that their experience on their show is the best they ever had.
