Nobody
likes going to school (OK,
maybe kindergarten) but last night's second annual
WhiskyFest provided lucky Washingtonians with the kind of education we can
all get behind... 300+ whiskies from all over the world (including Japan!) It was held at the luxurious
Marriott Marquis on Massachusetts Avenue, NW, and featured multiple food buffets (Beef Tenderloin Latkes, I love you) free seminars and easy access to unlimited pours of top notch whiskey. Especially good? Our #1 taste of the night,
Calumet Farm Bourbon Whiskey; but truth be told, it's impossible to try them all, even if you're lucky enough to have early access, via a VIP ticket. Still, no matter how long you stay (an hour and a half for yours truly) you're destined to have a whiskey-rific good time. We're already counting down to
next year (April 17, 2018, if you're curious.)
Next stop on the tour? Chicago (sold-out) on April 21st, followed by stops in San Francisco & New York in October and November.
