From our friends at HEIST...
DC Hotspot HEIST to Pop Up Inside WeDC House at South by Southwest (SXSW) March 12 & 13
Washington’s intimate nightlife venue also joins forces with Events DC for its Official Music Showcase at SXSW on March 14 at ACL Live
HEIST, DC’s bank heist-themed hotspot famous for its sexy opulence and A-list celebrity fans, is headed to Austin, Texas this weekend to launch an exclusive pop-up lounge inside the WeDC House at South by Southwest (SXSW) on Sunday, March 12 and Monday, March 13. HEIST will also set up at Austin City Limits Live in the Moody Theater on Tuesday, March 14 for Events DC’s Official Music Showcase at SXSW.
The HEIST pop-up will be the first-ever Washington nightclub to make a splash at SXSW with a glamorous and exclusive lounge echoing the sleek sophistication and over-the-top sexiness of the real HEIST, with high-end cocktails, blinged-out, edgy decor and a hit music playlist spun by the hottest DJs in the country.
On March 12, DJ D-Nice and DC's own DJ Money will take over the DJ booth at the exclusive HEIST pop-up, followed on March 13 by the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff; DJ Trauma, Dave Chappelle’s tour DJ; and DC’s DJ Biks, Jay Sean’s tour DJ on the Events DC Soundstage at the WeDC House. On March 14, the HEIST pop-up will move to the mezzanine at ACL Live for Events DC’s Official Music Showcase at SXSW with nationally-recognized headliners for one of the most anticipated performances at SXSW.
The WeDC initiative will highlight Washington as “The Capital of Inclusive Innovation” at SXSW, inviting HEIST to join the WeDC House because of its reputation as DC’s most talked about nightclub and VIP experience that caters to a diverse group of club-goers.
“This weekend, SXSW is the center of the arts, entertainment and innovation worlds, and we’re thrilled to bring HEIST into the mix with this pop-up that pulls together all of the things that make us the destination in DC for playful fun and light-hearted delinquency,” says HEIST owner Vinoda Basnayake. “There’s a reason that HEIST is the go-to spot for folks like LeBron James, Maroon 5, Jamie Foxx and Coldplay, and we can’t wait to share DC’s top-notch hospitality scene with the SXSW crowd.”
