The YMCA’s mission is to build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all, and their impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is their cause. Every day, the YMCA works side-by-side with their neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Their utmost goal is to make the Y and all they offer accessible and available to the entire community. With the help of our generous donors, community partners and members, the YMCA Metropolitan Washington (YMCA Loudoun County is under the YMCA Metropolitan Washington umbrella) was able to provide $2,572,798.47 in scholarships and subsidies to more than 14,863 children, adults and families in 2015. From dedicated board members to talented program volunteers, these caring friends and neighbors help the YMCA serve more individuals and impact more communities every year.
