Citi Open Tennis Tournament Current #1 Seed Tomas Berdych Forges Ahead to Wimbledon Semifinals

Quarterfinalist Querrey set sights on Washington title next Tomáš Berdych, Citi Open Tennis Tournament men's top seed, continues his excellent run at Wimbledon, reaching the Grand Slam's semifinals round. Currently ranked No. 9 in the world, Berdych will make his next tournament appearance in Washington, DC. The Citi Open will be held July 16-24 at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center.

Another Citi Open competitor, Sam Querrey, also had a successful run at Wimbledon. He played in his first Grand Slam quarterfinal following a stunning win on Saturday against World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the third round. Two juniors are also making their mark in London. Denis Shapovalov, 17, reached the semifinals of Wimbledon’s boys’ singles tournament and will receive a wild card into the main draw of the Citi Open.
