Newcomer Palette 22 Debuts New Palette Passport Program

From our friends at Palette 22...

Alexandria Restaurant Partners' (ARP) newest dining concept, Palette 22, located in the heart of The Village at Shirlington at 4053 Campbell Avenue, Arlington, Virginia is excited to announce the debut of their new “Palette Passport” program. Priced at $25 per person (bar, beverages, tax, and gratuity not included), the “Palette Passport” program showcases a rotating selection of three to four plates per guest, including dessert, of the chefs’ favorite internationally-inspired dishes and regional foods from around the world. The “Palette Passport” is available exclusively during dinner service, from 4 PM to close, for parties of six or more.

The “Palette Passport” program will highlight original recipe dishes from the Snacks, Meat & Seafood, Brick Oven Flatbreads, Tacos & Sliders, and Sweets section of the menu. Standout signature small plates that may be served include: Baked Goat Cheese Dip, with chipotle salsa, cilantro, and flatbread; Fried Watermelon + Halloumi Cheese with Harissa spice, pomegranate molasses and mint; Gambas Al Ajillo, jumbo shrimp cooked in the brick oven with sliced garlic, red pepper and parsley; Sesame Steak Skewers with spicy udon noodles, and Bibb lettuce; Jerk Chicken Flatbread with mango-pineapple salsa and cotija; Singapore Chili-Crab Potstickers with sambal, Napa cabbage, and ponzu;; Grilled Street Corn with citrus-kewpie mayo, queso cotija and chile pequin; Tacos Vampiros with rib eye, poblano rajas, avocado, chipotle salsa and queso cotija. For a sweet finish, guests enjoying the “Palette Passport” program can indulge in Churros with Mexican hot chocolate and strawberries; Flan with caramel-egg custard, orange-almond relish and sesame brittle; Apple Empanadas with apple compote, raisins and dulce de leche, or Seasonal Fruit Spring Rolls, crispy fried treats filled with fresh fruit, depending on the other mix of plates enjoyed for dinner.

For the perfect pairing, guests can enjoy art-inspired cocktails such as Piña A La Parrilla made with Jim Beam rye, smoked pineapple syrup and habanero water; Van Man Gogh made with Gran Centenario Azul Repo tequila, mango syrup, orange and lime juices, cumin and white pepper; Kiwi Ginger Collins made with Citadelle gin, kiwi and ginger syrups and lime juice; Peruvian Negroni with Macchu Pisco, Campari, Dolin Blanc vermouth and orange bitters; Impressionism made with Pear-infused vodka, Prosecco, lemon juice, Asian pear, sake and clove; Jamaican Daiquiri made with Appleton rum, coconut, hibiscus-all spice syrup and lime juice, as well as the What the Fuzz? with Tanqueray Sterling vodka, Massenez Crème de Peche, ginger syrup and lemon juice. Cocktails range in price from $10 to $12. A ‘must-try’ from the bar with the “Passport” experience is the Palette 22 Signature Sangria, an original recipe inspired by Barcelona’s bar culture, made with wine, fresh juices, gin, Spanish brandy, and fruits ($6.50/glass, $23/bottle.)
