Last year was great. This year's
Dine-N-Dash (the fourth annual) was even better. How so? In a word...
expansion. The number of restaurants more than doubled (from 12 to 30) which required a second neighborhood (14th Street, in addition to Penn Quarter) and lots more diners. Music to the ears of
José Andrés and
World Central Kitchen. More than 3,000 foodies were treated to a literal smorgasbord of tasty hors d'oeuvres from some of DC's best restaurants, including
Barcelona,
Cuba Libre,
Oyamel and many more. Best bite of the night? Take your choice; but we settled on
SEI Restaurant's delectable Kobe Slider. Coolest celebrity sighting?
Éric Ripert, who's been out and about promoting his new book, "32 Yolks: From My Mother's Table to Working the Line," which I just finished a few days ago (great read!) Can't wait to see what's in store
next year.
