Central Intelligence Movie Review

Kevin Hart & Dwayne Johnson (r) star in Central Intelligence

Old Skool!

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: The story follows a one-time bullied geek, Bob (Dwayne Johnson) who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent, coming home for his high school reunion. Claiming to be on a top-secret case, he enlists the help of former "big man on campus," Calvin (Kevin Hart) now an accountant who misses his glory days. But before the staid numbers-cruncher realizes what he's getting into, it's too late to get out, as his increasingly unpredictable new friend drags him through a world of shoot-outs, double-crosses and espionage that could get them both killed in more ways than Calvin can count. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

Johnson "has a plan. If it works, it will be a totally boss story." Central Intelligence is totally boss... a fun-filled action comedy featuring two of Hollywood's most engaging stars. Hart's terrific as (in no particular order) "chocolate Google," a "snack-sized Denzel" and my personal favorite... the black Will Smith. Credit those monikers to the Rock, who's equally hilarious as CIA agent Bob Stone. The action sequences are a bit silly; but truth be told, I could watch Hart & Johnson all day. And to think, it took a 20-year high school reunion to bring these two comedic giants together.
