Weiner became embroiled in his second widely publicized sexting scandal during the race, derailing his once-promising political career. Weiner is directed by Josh Kriegman & Elyse Steinberg, and received its world premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Like him or not (most don't) Anthony Weiner is entertaining; so it's only fitting that his documentary would be too, perhaps even more so. Throughout the doc's crisp 96-minute runtime, Weiner's referred to as a glib narcissist, loser, punchline, scumbag and my personal favorite/self-titled Carlos Danger, the alias that got him into so much trouble (the second time around.)
