Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising Movie Review

Seth Rogen & Rose Byrne (r) star in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

Sisters for Life

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: Young parents Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly Radnor (Rose Byrne) find their troubles are far from over in this sequel co-starring Zac Efron and ChloĆ« Grace Moretz.

The first Neighbors had its fair share of laughs and poor taste; but sequels are supposed to continue (or expand) the story, not repeat it verbatim. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising swaps girls for boys, en route to a 92-minute rehash of an uninspired story. Yawn. Rogen & Byrne are at war again, this time opposite Moretz, who appears hopelessly out-of-place as a hoarse, party animal feminista. Efron & Ike Barinholtz ("We got Cosby!") shine; but not enough to overshadow an endless myriad of "old people" jokes, bloody tampons, dildos and a severe case of same old, same old-itis.

Grade: D+
