Guests Can Experience Local Craft Brews from the Newly Opened Brewery out of Rockville, Maryland
Macon Bistro & Larder, the French and Southern-inspired bistro located at 5520 Connecticut Avenue, NW, will host a tap takeover, featuring 7 Locks Brewing throughout the month of May, dedicating six taps with five beers available. 7 Locks Brewing, which opened its doors in November 2015 in Rockville, Maryland, offers guests local micro brews with no frills ranging from pale ales to rich coffee stouts. Through May 31st, Macon Bistro will dedicate these draft lines to the newly opened brewery. Drafts are priced at $7 per pint. Guests will also have the opportunity to order a flight featuring three five-ounce pours of any 7 Locks brews, priced at $15. Featured beers include: Snakeden Saison; Surrender Dorothy RYE Pale Ale; Farmhouse Strong Ale; Sligo Creek Lager, and a "House IPA,” a rotating East Coast Style India Pale Ale.

WHY: 7 Locks Brewing was founded in November 2015 by University of Maryland alums, Jim Beeman and Keith Beutel. The Rockville-based brewery currently showcases eight beers including a pale ale, red rye, coffee stout and honey wheat. Beeman and Beutel strive to provide a no-frills neighborhood spot where beer-lovers can enjoy great handcrafted brews. The brewery is housed in a 7,200-square-foot warehouse featuring a 15-barrel system, designed and manufactured in the United States, making it one of the largest in the county.
