SER Restaurant in Ballston to Host 6-Course Wine Dinner, Featuring World-Class Winemaker Isaac Fernandez of Spain

On Wednesday, May 11th, SER Restaurant (1110 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22201; Phone (703) 746-9822; Twitter @SERRestaurant) is thrilled to announce that they will be hosting one of Spain’s most prolific winemakers (Isaac Fernandez) for an exclusive 6-course wine tasting dinner featuring some of the notable winemakers most prized wines from Spain.

Priced at $110 per person (all inclusive - tax & tip), this one-of-a-kind 6-course wine dinner by Executive Chef and co-owner Josu Zubikarai will begin at 6:30 PM with a reception, followed by a seated dinner at 7:00 PM, featuring Spanish-inspired fare and wine pairings from Isaac Fernandez including Verduras Confitadas, Vieiras Templadas y Vinagreta de Yozu - Confit Tender Vegetables, Warm Scallops, Citrus Vinaigrette - paired with Adras Godello 2013, Revuelto de Setas y Foie - Wild Mushrooms, Salt Cured Egg, and Shaved Duck Foie - paired with Pingao 2013, and Carrilleras de Ternera Guisadas - Braised Veal Cheeks, Caramelized Baby Carrots, Parsley Juice Cloud – paired with Arrocal Selection 2011, just to highlight a few.

ABOUT ISAAC FERNANDEZ:
Isaac Fernandez began exploring the world of Spanish wines in the late 1970s at Bodegas Mauro, working alongside his uncle, Mariano Garcia - former winemaker at Vega Sicilia - to produce some of the finest wines in the region. He then transitioned into a successful career of consulting for many prestigious wineries with the goal of being able to produce wines using indigenous grapes throughout Spain. Isaac Fernandez He seeks to respect the identity of each vineyard and to nurture wines that balance power, finesse and purity with the capacity to age. He produces a range of red, white and sparkling wines from 6 Denominations of Origin, including some of Spain’s most famous regions; Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Cava.
