DC’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry Raises More Than $210,000 to Help Feed Kids in Need Over 2 Million Healthy Meals
On April 4, more than 2,000 charity-minded DC foodies gathered at the National Building Museum for the city’s premier culinary event for a cause - DC’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry. The annual tasting event, which featured the district’s top chefs, restaurateurs, sommeliers and mixologists, raised more than $210,000 to support No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger in America.

Why: One in five children in this country struggles with hunger; and in DC, the insecurity rate is even higher at 1 in 4. No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger in this nation by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. Already, No Kid Hungry and its partners have connected kids struggling with hunger with 460 million meals.
This year, DC’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry raised more than $210,000 to help feed children in need over 2 million healthy meals.
