TAKODA Restaurant & Beer Garden Unveils Its Beverage Program Bringing An Extensive Selection of American Beers & Whiskeys to the Nation’s Capital

Partners Ryan Seelbach and Eric Lund are pleased to unveil the new beverage program of TAKODA, the 132-seat contemporary American restaurant and beer garden which opened March 11th in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC at 715 Florida Avenue, NW, Suite 200. Guests can anticipate an expansive list of 24+ American draft beers including local favorites such as DC Brau and perennial favorites such as Bell's Brewery, Inc., along with an extensive collection of 50+ American whiskies including old favorites such as Basil Hayden Bourbon, Widow Jane Bourbon and Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon, and new styles including Hillrock Estate Solera-Aged Bourbon, Filibuster The Boondoggler and High West Campfire. TAKODA also features 10 handcrafted cocktails featuring house-made syrups and fresh juices and six wines, available by the glass and bottle, showcasing wines from California and Oregon.

Cocktails highlights include the Kentucky, London, and Moscow Mule with ginger beer, lime juice and mint; Hot Toddy with Redemption bourbon, tea, honey syrup, lemon and cinnamon; TAKODA Old Fashioned with High West bourbon, beer syrup, orange bitters and house-made maraschino cherry; Cold Toddy with Redemption white rye, iced tea, honey syrup, lemon and cinnamon; Brown Derby with High West bourbon, grapefruit juice and honey syrup; Rosemary Greyhound with Grey Goose, rosemary syrup and grapefruit juice; Bee’s Knees with Tanqueray, lemon juice and honey syrup; New York Sour with High West double rye, simple syrup, citrus and red wine; The Seelbach, first crafted in 1917 at Seelbach Hotel and made with Redemption bourbon, Cointreau, bitters, sparkling wine and an orange twist, and the Aviation with Tanqueray, maraschino liqueur, Crème de Violet, lemon juice and house-made maraschino cherry. Handcrafted cocktails are priced at $12 each.

Highlights include Maker’s Mark; Rock Hill Farms’ Single-Barrel; George Dickel’s No. 12; Catoctin Creek’s Roundstone Rye; High West’s Rendezvous Rye; Widow Jane Rye; Wigle Whiskey’s Organic Rye; Louthan Distilling’s Oak-Aged Corn Whiskey; Knob Creek Rye; Jack Daniels Singe Barrel; Elijah Craig’s 12 Yr; Basil Hayden’s Bourbon; WhistlePig 10 Yr Rye; Jim Beam Rye; Overholt Rye; Russell’s Reserve Rye; Old Forester’s 100 Proof; Wild Turkey 101; Copper Fox Rye; Evan Williams Single Barrel; Jefferson’s Chef’s Collaboration, as well as Four Roses Small Batch. Those looking to enjoy a glass of wine can take pleasure in six wines from California and Oregon, which are priced at $10 by the glass, and $40 by the bottle. Highlights include Kenwood Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from Sonoma Valley, CA; Rutherford Ranch Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley, CA; Sawbuck Malbec from Mendocino, CA; Avalon Chardonnay from Sonoma County, CA; Sokol Blosser Evolution Sweet Blend from Dundee, OR, and the Kenwood Vineyards Jack London Zinfandel from Sonoma Valley, CA.

Additionally, guests are invited to enjoy Happy Hour at TAKODA, available Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM. Guests can enjoy TAKODA’s creative takes on American classics available at a special price. Highlights include half price mimosas & dessert on Sundays; half price wines by the bottle & small plates on Mondays; half price ciders & salads on Tuesdays; half price select whiskeys under $12 & wings on Wednesdays, and half price basic beers & burgers on Thursdays.
