Richard Sandoval’s Toro Toro Offers Late Night Happy Hour and Salsa Lessons

Acclaimed Chef and Owner Richard Sandoval's contemporary Pan-Latin steakhouse, Toro Toro, located at 1300 I Street, NW is offering late night Happy Hour exclusively on Thursdays from 5 PM to 12 AM and on Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 2 AM. Toro Toro's Happy Hour menu features creative Pan-Latin small bites, paired with Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Modelo Especial, Corona Extra, Dos Equis Amber, and Amstel Light, priced at $5 each. Guests can also sip on select house spirits priced at $4 and handcrafted signature cocktails such as the Caipirinha, Pitu cachaca, fresh lime, and sugar; Mojito Traditional, Bacardi Castillo, fresh mint, and fresh lime; Tinta Roja, red wine, brandy, Licor 43, fresh apple, fresh mango, and orange liqueur; Margarita, Sauza Blue, agave nectar, and fresh lime, and the Prickly Pear Chilcano, pisco capel, prickly pear purée, fresh lime juice, ginger ale, and bitters. Signature cocktails range in price from $5 to $7.

Happy Hour small bites include Truffle Fries with truffle oil and parmesan; Smoked Guacamole with avocado, chipotle chili, onion, and tomato; Choripan, Argentinian chorizo, chile rocotto aioli, Napa slaw, and pickled fresno; Churrasco ‘Burnt Ends’ Nachos, achiote chicken, picanha steak, and chorizo; Chicken Tacos, pico de gallo and salsa verde; Steak Tacos, salsa roja, cilantro, and onion; Crispy Shrimp Tacos, aji amarillo aioli and pickled vegetables; Corn Masa Empanadas, Oaxaca cheese and chimichurri, and Korean Fried Chicken Wings, gochujang and cucumber kimchee. Happy Hour small bites range in price from $4 to $10.


Additionally, guests can partake in complimentary group salsa lessons from professional dancers every Thursday night from 9 PM to 10:30 PM, followed by an opportunity to show off their new moves at Toro Toro's 5,000 square-foot upscale modern lounge where the nights featured DJ will be spinning Latin, House and Top 40 hits until 2 AM.

Toro Toro is open for lunch Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Dinner is available Monday through Thursday, from 5 PM to 10 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 5 PM to 1 AM. Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Happy Hour is also offered Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the upstairs bar only.
