From our friends at Uncle Maddio's Pizza...
Restaurant Coming to Frederick, Md., This Week
Uncle Maddio's is continuing its expansion in the Northeast and will open its first Maryland restaurant in Frederick, Md. The Atlanta-based fast-casual build-your-own pizza restaurant, along with franchise partners Doug Sellers and Kane Wright, have scheduled an November 6 opening date at its location at 5597 Spectrum Drive across from the Frances Scott Key Mall. Grand opening is November 7, with free pizza for everyone from 11 AM to 2 PM. On Sunday, November 8, kids eat free and there will be children’s activities from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Uncle Maddio’s is a New York style, craft, fast casual pizza restaurant that lets guests build-their-own pizza exactly how they want it. Add a little more of this, a little less of that, and make your favorite pizza by choosing from an almost limitless number of toppings. Everything is fresh, from the pizza dough that’s made in-store each day to the locally grown veggies that are delivered every morning. For guests looking to try something new, Uncle Maddio’s also offers a selection of signature pizzas created in-house by the executive chef.
“From the moment I experienced Uncle Maddio’s I thought it was the best-tasting pizza I had ever had and I knew I wanted to open a restaurant,” said Kane Wright, franchisee. “I can’t wait to introduce Uncle Maddio’s to the Frederick community, and I hope they love it as much as I do.”
Wright and Sellers have signed on to open 10 Uncle Maddio’s locations, making them one of the largest Uncle Maddio’s franchisees. The partners are experienced restaurant operators and previously owned a Golden Corral franchise. The next two Uncle Maddio’s openings are planned for Richmond and Charlottesville, Va. For dates to be determined.
“Uncle Maddio’s is growing at an exceptional pace and we are looking for significant investments with franchise partners like Kane and Doug,” said Matt Andrew, CEO of Uncle Maddio’s. “We are excited to bring Uncle Maddio’s pizza to Maryland, Virginia and throughout the Washington, DC and Baltimore region.”
Uncle Maddio's offers premium ingredients and more customization than any other fast-casual pizza chain. Guests choose from one of three crusts, including a gluten-free option, and 48 toppings including six sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. More than 30 menu items are made fresh daily in-house. For those with dietary restrictions, Uncle Maddio's serves up a huge selection of healthful options such as whole wheat and gluten-free crusts, hormone-free chicken, fresh local vegetables, Daiya vegan cheese and organic greens. Build-your-own signature salads and toasted Panini sandwiches round out the Italian-style menu. The restaurant also offers a selection of craft beers and wine.
Since launching its aggressive growth plan in 2008, Uncle Maddio's has signed franchise agreements with 57 different entities in 18 states. Many of Uncle Maddio's franchisees have previous multi-unit experience with Jimmy John's, Firehouse Subs, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Burger King, Krystal, Papa John's, Domino's, Golden Corral and Five Guys.
