The Merriest 5K to Visit 20 Cities Nationwide, with a Few New Additions
Tour stops in National Harbor, December 12th
In its fifth season, The Ugly Sweater Run descends upon North American November 28, 2015, backed by popular demand an additional six cities will round out the 20 stop U.S. tour. Bringing a family tradition and “snow” to every city, the Ugly Sweater run celebrates this joyous time of year with a 3.1 mile run in the most beautiful and outrageous holiday sweaters along with a visit from Santa, bottomless hot chocolate and, of course, awards and prizes for the tackiest holiday flare. The Ugly Sweater Run is open to all ages, free for children five years old and under, and adults are invited to enjoy a complimentary brew from Samuel Adams. For the second year, the Ugly Sweater Run will benefit Save the Children, a global nonprofit which gives children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. All participants have the option to donate $5 or more during registration and create an online fundraising platform to help raise funds for Save the Children.
Newly added cities Louisville, KY; Oklahoma City, OK; Pittsburgh, PA; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; and Baltimore, MD will join in on the holiday fun with each participant receiving an all new custom collectible knit hat, unlimited hot chocolate and a for those over 21, a seasonal cold (1) one from our official partner Samuel Adams. Operation Gratitude will be on-site at every stop collecting goods for gift packages and designing "thank you cards" to send to our troops overseas.
