Et Voila!’s Chef/Owner Claudio Pirollo is pleased to announce the appointment of Romain Cabre as general manager and beverage director for his award-winning neighborhood restaurant. A native of Paris, France, Cabre was educated in Switzerland earning a BA in Hospitality, Finance & Revenue Management in 2010, from The Glion Institute of Higher Education in Bulle. Prior to accepting the new position as general manager and beverage director at Et Voila!, he served as the restaurant manager of the Café Kousmichoff, Kusmi Tea in Paris located on the Champs Elysées.
Cabre’s managerial career also includes working at the Restaurant Pinxo, with two-star chef Alain Dutournier, along with being the room service manager for the five-star Renaissance Paris Vendôme. He also gained experience while serving as the manager at the 100-seat Restaurant le Louvre Ripaille in Paris.
Cabre’s training experience, while earning his degree, brought him to Virginia for one year from 2010 to 2011, to work for the Hyatt Regency Reston. Also prior to graduating, Cabre worked at the Hotel Quaryati in Marrakech, Morocco and at the Hotel Arts, Ritz Carlton in Barcelona, Spain.
At Et Voila!, Cabre will be responsible for the daily operations and developing the beverage program introducing an expanded wine list and new cocktails. He will also help grow the catering division of Et Voila! for private event off-site services.
Known for its inviting ambiance, Et Voila! is a quaint restaurant that boasts a European charm and an intimate dining experience. Et Voila! is located at 5120 MacArthur Boulevard, NW, Washington, DC 20016.
Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday, from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Dinner is served on Sunday and Monday from 5 PM to 9:30 PM; Tuesday through Saturday, from 5 PM to 10:30 PM. Brunch is served Saturday from 11 AM until 2:30 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM. There are daily $12 cocktails specials available during lunch and dinner service. Reservations are recommended.
