| The Renwick Gallery reopens November 13th |

In celebration of the newly renovated Renwick Gallery’s reopening after a major renovation at Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC, The Hay-Adams, located at 800 16th Street NW in Washington, DC is offering a Renwick Gala Package, for one or two nights, available Tuesday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 11. The Renwick Gallery, constructed in 1859, is the first building in the United States designed specifically as an art museum and is home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s collection of contemporary craft and decorative arts. Guests participating in this exclusive package will be among the first to see the Renwick Gallery’s opening exhibition WONDER, featuring original gallery-sized installations by nine major contemporary artists - Jennifer Angus, Chakaia Booker, Gabriel Dawe, Tara Donovan, Patrick Dougherty, Janet Echelman, John Grade, Maya Lin and Leo Villareal - as the museum does not officially open to the public until November 13.
