Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club will become the first Cuba-based musical group to perform at
The White House since the
Cuban Revolution. Two-time Academy Award-winning director
Lucy Walker will be on-hand to shoot the performance and the band's introduction to President Obama.
The footage will be included in the upcoming
Broad Green Pictures film,
Buena Vista Social Club -Adios.
Christine Cowin and
Zak Kilberg are producing the film and
Mister Smith Entertainment is handing international sales.
