Fairmont Washington, D.C. Georgetown Holds Sixth Annual Sustainability Fair

Free Event Showcases DC's Eco-Efforts

Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is pleased to announce its sixth annual Sustainability Fair, (formerly Green Fair), to be held on Friday, August 21st from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM in the hotel’s Colonnade Room.


The event showcases the eco-efforts of many DC-based organizations as well as the hotel’s own green program. Below is just a sampling of the participants that will be showcasing their environmental initiatives at the fair. Guests will enjoy interacting with these organizations and their representatives:

Fairmont’s Sustainability Fair is free and open to the public. Guests will be treated to honey tastings from the hotel’s rooftop hives along with vegetable dips seasoned with herbs from the hotel’s garden, and each guest will be entered to win some great prizes. Many of the participants bring complimentary samples for attendees such as energy saving light bulbs. We hope you will join us. Each participant has a six-foot skirted table to display information. Many participants bring give-a-ways for guests to take with them.
