Spy Movie Review

Melissa McCarthy stars in Spy

Full-Blown Rogue

IMDb Plot: A desk-bound CIA analyst (Melissa McCarthy) volunteers to go undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent diabolical global disaster.

McCarthy puts 007 to shame in Spy, cementing her status as Hollywood's funniest leading lady in the process. Armed with hemorrhoid wipes, stool softener and a rape whistle, Susan Cooper takes over Paris, Rome and Budapest, upstaging super spies Jude Law & Jason Statham on her way to saving the day/world. Turns out, Susan's a natural born killer, who plays well with everyone (especially Peter Serafinowicz's Aldo.) Good for dozens of laughs, and at least a couple of sequels, Spy follows in the well-paved path of Austin Powers... only less vulgar. Wait until you see Cooper's pink eye. Priceless!
