Tomorrowland Movie Review

George Clooney stars in Tomorrowland

The Future Can Be Scary

IMDb Plot: Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity (Britt Robertson) and a former boy-genius inventor (George Clooney) embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory.

"Well, you wanted to see Tomorrowland: Here it comes." Unfortunately, tomorrow takes forever to appear, leaving us with annoying Casey (Robertson) and some know-it-all kid robot with a British accent. Clooney looks old and out-of-place (money grab?) and Disney takes care of the rest... thinly-veiled environmental messages, laughable fight sequences and terrible dialogue, "They gobbled it up (the apocalypse) like a chocolate eclair." It's another "she's the One" story, with lots of product placement, zero originality and a terrible ending. Great cameo by late-blooming star Keegan-Michael Key, but $190 million should buy a lot more than that. For kids only.
