| Cosplay galore at last year's Awesome Con |
Sound the alarm: DC's most colorful event of the year is returning this weekend to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Awesome Con celebrates it third year in grandiose style, beginning Friday and running through Sunday. That means cosplay, mega celebrities (Bill Shatner in da house!) and enough comic books to make your mom cringe. Tickets are still available (click here to purchase online) including VIP packages to see Shatner and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
If you've never been, prepare to be wowed. The energy is unmatched (think RFK Stadium, back when the Redskins were good) and the list of celebrities... even more impressive than last year. In addition to Shatner & Rollins, George Takei (yes, GEORGE TAKEI!) will be on hand, along with ER's Alex Kingston, Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) Count Gore De Vol, The Karate Kid's Ralph Macchio and lots more.
